IKA – pronounced ‘eeka’ – was rated one of Auckland’s 2015 Top 50 eateries for under $50 by Metro Magazine in our first month. We prove that good, fresh and generous food can be affordable too.
Every day we look for the freshest fish at the market. Fish and other seafood is served whole or in an ever-changing menu of smaller plates. NZ grass fed, aged meat is also carefully selected for the charcoal grill.
Laila Harré leads a friendly team, hosting locals and visitors in this lovely space. Ika’s monthly Salon brings diners together with scientists, artists, and movers and shakers over a meal. Ika is also earning a reputation as a great small music venue.
We have a carefully chosen wine list, cocktails and mocktails and a range of beers and non-alcoholic drinks.
